Our Rooms
From their first morning in Cherry Blossoms to their last day in Little Conkers, every step of your child's time at Wildfox is shaped by the same belief: children thrive when nature leads the way.
Your Baby’s first chapter.
Cherry Blossoms
0-18 months
The first stages of development is a precious time We work closely with you to understand your babies individual routines, preferences and personality, creating consistency between home and nursery. With plenty of reassurance and parent partnership we aim to allow your baby to feel truly settled.
Our Cherry Blossom room has been thoughtfully designed to feel less like a nursery and more like a calm, nurturing home from home. A warm and welcoming space filled with natural material and open ended opportunities to explore.
Our outdoor experiences are part of everyday life from the very start. Fresh air, natural light, the sight and sounds of the outside world. Movement and opportunities to explore nature helps babies develop their senses, coordination and connect with the world around them.
What to expect:
Higher staff-to-child ratios
Highly qualified team
Daily communication updates for parents via our Famly app
Focus on outdoor play and natural learning resources
Consistent key person for your babies settling and ongoing care
A home from home experience
Big energy. Bigger curiosity.
Little acorns
18-30 months
The transition from Cherry Blossoms is smooth and positive as children move through their EYFS curriculum. Activities will be provided to support children at this developmental stage.
This room has a busy energy as children practice their skills and become more physically independent.
Children will develop socially, working alongside their peers to form friendships.
Practitioners will continue to support self-care routines whilst encouraging independence.
This is the age when outdoor play becomes genuinely adventurous. Children start to test themselves physically and socially - climbing, balancing, digging, negotiating.
Our outdoor environment is built for exactly that.
What to expect:
Plenty of physical, sensory, and creative play
Gentle support for friendships and social skills
Continued key person relationships
Beginning of independence skills - dressing, self-care, confidence at mealtimes
The introduction to Forest School led activities
Open ended child led play
Finding out what they're made of.
Self-reliance is very important at this stage in a child’s development. Children will be supported to dress, wash and self-serve their own meals.
Circle time is important for group collaboration, developing speaking, listening and turn taking skills, ready for their transition to school.
We liaise closely with schools in order to fully support each child as they transition.
This is a room built for doing. Problem-solving, investigating, making decisions, and working things out. Children at this stage are capable of so much more than we often give them credit for, and our job is to make sure the environment reflects that.
Our Forest School programme is a significant part of life in Little Conkers - Our children spend extended time outdoors, taking on challenges that build real resilience - not the word-on-a-poster kind, the genuine, earned kind that comes from figuring something out in the mud.
